Prayer Walking Around Boma

so our teacher isn't scheduled to arrive until later this evening, so our group took a little trip to Boma for a prayerwalk. Jemma, the dts leader and i were partners, and i'm grateful for our time together. she needed to do a little shopping at the markets, so we took a little detour. the market is quite small in boma, but it was still fun to see the little booth where the fruits and vegetables are sold. avocados are in abundance right now, along with cucumbers, tomatoes and eggplant. i saw some ocra, but it was very small and didn't look very appealing.

before we went to boma, were told that this district - the Hai-Kilimanjaro district - has one of the highest percentage of HIV patients in the country. more that 1 out of 9 are affirmed to have HIV. so we prayed and prayed, and discovered that there are more bars than shops in boma.
